January/February Favorites

Coastal Scents: Medium Camo Quad

-I only use one color from this palette (3pm) for my dark circles, redness and acne scars and it does a pretty good. It doesn't cake on me or anything. There's a big dip in it (about to hit pan) and I'm deciding if I should order more because Coastal Scents right now because its on sale for 20% off but I don't wanna pay for shipping nor do I wanna buy $75 worth of stuff to get free shipping. :( Its all good because I already have a lot of other concealers.

MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark

-This is my favorite setting powder of all times because it gives your face such a flawless finish!! I need to get a new one soon because I'm running out!

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NC40

I love the liquid form and definitely love the powder form. I used to use this everyday but I recently stopped because I'm running out! I need to get a new one soon. Its my travel foundation and also my rushing-in-the-morning foundation when I wake up late. I get a kabuki brush and quickly apply it all over my face within a matter of few seconds and it does a great job covering up my flaws because the coverage is super! You don't need the liquid and powder on top of it because each of them gives a heavy coverage alone so I just the MAC MSF to set it instead.

MAC Nylon e/s for highlight/brow bone Pale (Gold with icy shimmer (Frost))

MAC Charcoal Brown e/s for brows (Muted taupe brown (Matte))

MAC Wedge e/s for crease (Soft muted beige taupe (Matte))

MAC Bare Study Paintpot for eyeshadow primer (I always go back to it!)

MAC Fresh Morning Cream Colour Base

(pictures from Temptalia)
I use this as a base for my highlight and brows (makes it so much easier to fill and shape them)

Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Lilac

I love how "REVLON" is engraved on the lipstick (like the ones from the Hello Kitty MAC collection)! This creamy lipstick applies smoothly and does not flake or cake. It doesn't dry out your lips either! I have the Revlon MATTE lipstick and it totally dries out my lips. But this one, I highly recommend!

Milani Liquif'Eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil

(pictures from Temptalia)
I saw this got a A+ rating (which I don't think I've ever seen before) at Temptalia and I HAD to get it ASAP! Check out the review here! Got the black and brown one at CVS and it was buy one get one half off! Lucky me! I LOVE IT!!! I don't think I'll be going back to department store or big brand new eyeliners ever again... It glides it beautifully and smoothly!!! YOU HAVE TO GET IT!!!!!!!

I should stop here now! I keep finding products I've been loving and wanna add it to the list lol. I'm also loving....

L’Oreal HIP Chrome Eyeliners, got the black and purple one (solid A rating at Temptalia)
L’Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner-- but I got a bad one, it was dried out :[
MAC 129, 165, 187, 217, 222, 224, 239, 242, 252 brushes (main ones for daily use)

New York Color Bronzer in Sunny (perfect contouring color, like it better than NARS Laguna)

Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation (makes your face look flawless)

I'll try to edit this blog later and post up pics!

Mini Drugstore Haul (CVS)

Got both of these at CVS for $5 each. The brown cream eyeliner on the left retails at $11.99 and the pencil eyeliner on the right retails at $8.99. You can get it for cheaper if you use your Bucksback or the coupons from the CVS machine. =] I have the other 4 cream eyeliner (black, blue, green, purple) which I bought from Ulta back in 2008 and oh boy do I regret it! I bought it for BUY ONE GET ONE HALF OFF and I thought that was a deal because back then I was young and naive and thought that LOreal HiP items NEVER go on sale but boy was I wrong! They always do! You just gotta look. Rite Aid always be having it buy one get one free which is even better! I sh0uld have waited on the HiP pencil liner because its on sale this week for $5 and I bought it last week for buy one get one half off! Grr!! I would have saved $5! Oh well you live and you learn.... I still get my shit at CVS for hella cheap anyways because of the lovely coupons and Bucksback!!!

Quick Mini Review--- Neutrogena Hydrating Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

On their website it says.... "Ultra-soft conditioning cloths offer you superior cleansing and makeup removal while hydrating and soothing your skin, giving you all the care your skin needs in one simple step. These cleansing towelettes dissolve all traces of dirt, oil, and makeup--even waterproof mascara. Plus, they leave skin feeling soft and conditioned with a blend of replenishing hydrators and skin-soothing cucumber and aloe extracts.

Use daily for skin that looks and feels clean, soft, soothed, and hydrated.
  • Cleanses and hydrates
  • Resealable pack
  • 25 Pre-moistened Towelettes"
MY THOUGHTS ON IT: I literally just opened it a few minutes ago and omg it stinks like hell, made me wanna barf dude. The SMELL made me nauseous. I don't know, are they tryna make it smell like cucumber? Well it STINKS!!! Because of the smell alone--- I would never purchase this product again! I've used the blue one and I had no problem. I have the purple nighttime one but haven't opened that one yet, but I've heard that one smells good. Ugh, I still have 24 more to go and you know I don't wanna be wasting it! :( Oh well...on the bright side it did an okay job removing my makeup. Hmm haven't used it enough to really review it. But as of now, the smell is horrible and the product itself is just okay.

Another HIT PAN to the list!

-I don't know if you can tell, but I hit pan again!!!!!!!!! This time on MAC Nylon (pale gold with icy shimmer) eyeshadow (frost)! I got this sometime in 2008 after watching Msdebramaye use it in one of her videos. I fell in love with that color ever since then and pretty much used it every single for a while. Then I stopped cuz I was neglecting my other highlight/brow bone colors, but later came back to it. And tada I hit pan!! I feel so accomplished because I hate wasting stuff esp. makeup! I am constantly always buying new makeup and neglecting old ones. :( But after hitting pan on them, I know I didn't waste it! Hooray! I want to move on to a different color that I have maybe MAC Ricepaper or something, but I just love MAC Nylon too much to switch! Its irrefutably my most FAVORITE eyeshadow from MAC!!!
